Mumbai: Actor Aditya Khurana, who is part of the show Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hai, believes that festivals are a beautiful reminder to cherish traditions and spend time with loved ones. As Dhanteras approaches, the actor looks forward to the festive spirit and the excitement of welcoming prosperity and positivity into life. He opens up about his shopping choices, his dream luxury purchase and his most memorable festive moments on a television set.
Talking about the most memorable or meaningful thing he has purchased on Dhanteras, Aditya says, “For me, the most meaningful purchases are the ones that stay with you for a long time. I like buying gold on Dhanteras because it is considered auspicious and is also something valuable that you can keep for years. More than the price, I think the sentiment behind the purchase makes it special. It is about following a tradition and starting the festive season on a positive note.”
When asked what extravagant luxury item he would love to buy if money and practicality were no barriers, the actor shares, “I would love to buy a luxury car. It is something I have always found exciting, and I think it would be a wonderful feeling to own one. Sometimes, it is nice to dream about things that you may not necessarily need but would love to experience. For me, it would be a special gift to myself and a way of celebrating the hard work that goes into building your career.”
Sharing his preference between traditional gold shopping and online festive shopping, Aditya says, “I prefer going to the market and shopping for gold during festivals. There is a different kind of excitement in visiting shops, seeing the jewellery and being part of the festive atmosphere. Online shopping is convenient, of course, but Dhanteras is a special occasion, and I feel that going out and making a purchase adds to the experience. I usually like buying something in gold or silver because these purchases hold traditional value.”
Speaking about what he would gift his on-screen character as a token of good luck and prosperity, the actor says, “I would gift my character a gold coin. Gold is considered auspicious, and I think it would be a lovely way to wish him good luck, success and happiness. I would want him to have a year filled with new opportunities, professional growth and peace of mind. At the end of the day, prosperity is not just about money but also about being happy and having good people around you.”
Recalling his most memorable Dhanteras or Diwali celebration on a television set with his co-stars, Aditya shares, “Celebrating festivals on set is always special because you get to celebrate with people who become a part of your everyday life. Even when we have a busy shooting schedule, everyone tries to take a little time out to exchange wishes, share sweets and enjoy the festive atmosphere. These small moments make the day memorable. Sometimes, you are away from home because of work, but celebrating with your co-stars makes you feel connected and adds warmth to the occasion
