Ramansh Ram Bundela says his short film Stop Bullying was the need of the hour: It tells us to raise our voice against bullies and highlights the importance of kindness

Ramansh Ram Bundela has done more than ten short films including I Am Pregnant, Love Is Love, Toxic Friends, Right Age To Marry. His latest being Stop Bullying, which has been written by Shipra Arora and directed by her brother Shivankar Arora. They are also the producers of the film, which is available on YouTube in their channel Content Ka Keeda. Ramansh shares his experience.

“All the short films that I have done so far are from Content Ka Keeda. Stop Bullying is a new one on the list. Apart from that, I have done shows like Meri Durga and Pyaar Ke Papad, and a couple of advertisements,” he says.

In Stop Bullying, Ramansh plays Arushi’s (Arsheen Namdaar) brother Sam. “Stop Bullying focuses on the important topic of bullying. It not only tells us how essential it is to raise your voice against bullies but also highlights the importance it is to be kind with everyone around us,” he adds.

Ramansh has experienced bullying too. He understands what a victim goes through during that phase. “During my school days, I used to get bullied because I used to stutter. During that time, my family and my teachers were my strength that helped me fight against the bullies. So it is always important to share whatever you are facing with your closed ones. Their love and support gives us the strength to fight against all the negativity,” he says.

Bullying still happens in a variety of unexpected places, even on the road. “Bullying is a form of harassment, be it verbal and physical. And, it does sometimes leading to self-doubt, depression and suicide if the bullying continues. In some cases, bullies are stressed or angry and don’t know how to express it and draw satisfaction by making someone else suffer. In my opinion, this is a sombre topic that still exists in the 21st century. However, in recent times, many facilities including schools, colleges, workplaces, and even on the road have strict laws against bullying, which have helped the cases go down. I would request facilitators to keep a close eye on the students/employees, and students/employees should share if they are facing any sort of bullying at the beginning itself to avoid future repercussions,” ends Ramansh.
