Lead actor Ridhi Dogra talks about how marriage doesn't define a person post the success of ALTBalaji's 'The Married Woman'

Lead actor Ridhi Dogra from ALTBalaji's urban relationship drama The Married Woman has a message for women everywhere. Especially focusing on women in marriages. She reminds us that marriage isn't going to be forever as romantic and perfect as it was. Irrespective of whether you are happy or unhappy, there is a journey you have to embark on by yourself that is only just for you. She urges women never to lose sight of that path, because at the end of the day, sometimes, you are all you have.

Her caption reads:
"Astha this is for you ♥️ वो जो अपने बचों के लिए Tiffin pack कर रही है , वो जो husband के office जाने के बाद चैन की चाई पी रही है , वो जो office का काम घर पे और घर का काम local train में कर रही है , वो जो सब्ज़ी मंडी पे exotic vegetables ढूँढ रही है क्यूँकि कल family को खाने में नामक कम लगा, वो जो अपने househelp को शाम को English सिखाती है,वो जो apni रोज़ रोज़ की bargaining से savings करती है , आस्था, तुम जो भी हो, जहां ही हो.....I hope तुम ख़ुश हो। I hope तुम दूसरों के बारे में सोचते सोचते खुद को ना भूल जाओ । I hope तुम याद रखो उस लड़की को जो 15 साल की थी, अपने सपने ले के चलो चाहे तुम 60 की हो। दूसरों की जिंदगियाँ संवारती हो रोज़ , कभी हार नहीं मानती। I hope खुद के लिए भी ज़िंदादिल बन जाओ Life is waiting to happen to you.Give yourself the chances you give others. And choose yourself. Every day ♥️ I love you. Astha. You're beautiful

This is the very same message that ALTBalaji's The Married Woman tries to send out. The story talks about Astha, a married woman who, due to society's conditioning, becomes a woman tied to her household after marriage until she meets Aijaz and Peeplika who shows her that there is so much more to life than what society tells her. She learns that being a good wife doesn't mean having to bottle up all her wants and needs. A message unbelievable numbers of women still need to hear and understand.

The series adapted from Manju Kapur's novel, 'A Married Woman' addresses various other social issues and taboos that people don't see fit for day-to-day conversation. Present in subtle forms in almost all sections of society, making it an essential series where we need to find solutions to all kinds of discrimination.

Starring in the series is Monica Dogra and Ridhi Dogra. Along with these two incredible women, there is Suhaas Ahuja, Imaad Shah, and various others.

The Married Woman is a must-watch binge-worthy show currently streaming on ALTBalaji!
